Sherlock Holmes

I thought I would spotlight some of the best, imo, iconic fictional characters through out the written world this week.

Sherlock Holmes nearly every one not living under a rock has heard of. First coming to be in 1887. He was featured in 4 novels and 56 short stories. Of course created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock has since gone on to have so many incarnations, I think I've lost count. Not sure I can choose a favorite. I like so many. How about you?

  11. WE have seen so many Sherlocks. Old B/W with Basil Rathbone and others. Benedict C. is about the best one. Jeremy Brett was my favorite until B.C. appeared.
