I thought I would spotlight some of the best, imo, iconic fictional characters through out the written world this week.
Sherlock Holmes nearly every one not living under a rock has heard of. First coming to be in 1887. He was featured in 4 novels and 56 short stories. Of course created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock has since gone on to have so many incarnations, I think I've lost count. Not sure I can choose a favorite. I like so many. How about you?
My current favorite would have to be the new british version.
ReplyDeleteI have never read any Sherlock Holmes, but I have seen some of the shows that were made.
ReplyDeletedef up the list there...i grew up reading stories of sherlocke...and there have def been a number of mimics to that one too...

ReplyDeleteI've only seen the Downey versions. I really liked them!
ReplyDeleteWE have seen so many Sherlocks. Old B/W with Basil Rathbone and others. Benedict C. is about the best one. Jeremy Brett was my favorite until B.C. appeared.
