Another Great Batch

Pure love and suspicion cannot dwell together: at the door where the latter enters, the former makes its exit.

How is it that little children are so intelligent and men so stupid? It must be education that does it.

A person who doubts himself is like a man who would enlist in the ranks of his enemies and bear arms against himself. He makes his failure certain by himself being the first person to be convinced of it.

It is rare that one can see in a little boy the promise of a man, but one can almost always see in a little girl the threat of a woman.

Infatuated, half through conceit, half through love of my art, I achieve the impossible working as no one else ever works.

  3. You mean, the dumbing down education causes men to be so stupid and little children still have their reasoning process (?)

  5. That second one is very true. It's also fascinating that children are so kind and innocent and full of magic, and after the world beats that out of them they are none of those things.

  6. Little kids do have a distinctly different kind of intelligence than us adults do. I think it's innocence that does it. ;)

  7. I appreciated this: "It is rare that one can see in a little boy the promise of a man, but one can almost always see in a little girl the threat of a woman."

  8. The second one. Definitely applies to my children. They know everything. I know nothing....
