Robin Hood

The little guy and his merry band of men, struck a cord with all and has never let go. he's been done by everyone from Costner to Disney. With multiple movies, tv shows, stories, etc. Robin Hood has sure made out okay for himself. Heck, with all the royalties he should be able to feed the poor across the planet. Robin Hood is also said to be based off a real band of outlaws. Think there is any truth to that? Have a favorite Robin Hood version?

  5. It's difficult to resist a man in tight pants, be it in the woods or ski jumping. I recently saw a new Robin film on TV. Don't know the name but I sat through the whole movie and it wasn't very good.

  6. Now he is Robin the Hood. He keeps company with the Mafia. He's still with a band of men. But he gets to keep whatever they lay their hands on! I wonder if there's such a modern version! Nicely!

  7. Errol FLynn! It was fun when the first Pirates movie came out along with LotR that they guy who used to choreograph the fight scenes for Flynn's movies was able to do those. So entertaining to watch.

  9. Maybe some truth in the Robin Hood legend but people just love criminals with a heart of gold so maybe the real guy just did something like throw a few coins on the ground when he galloped...rode...walked...trod into town.

Everybody and their brother has used this theme or a slight variation on it. Sons of Anarchy comes to mind.

  10. I think there may be truth to the Robin Hood legend. If there was such a real life character, I bet he was quite a terror!

  16. I think it's about time for another Robin Hood reboot. Russell Crowe was just too OLD. Otherwise, that one was pretty good, but it seemed like more of a prequel to the real Robin Hood story. Have you read Stephen Lawhead's trilogy?
