As much as the current vampire tread annoys me, Dracula has been a staple in literature for decades. He has withstood the test of type more than any other vampire out there. With his origins claiming to have came from Vlad the Impaler, one will never truly know for sure though. Unless of course he really is out there and comes by for a visit. Cannot even begin to count the number of times he has been portrayed in some form of media either. A Dracula fan?
there is something romantic to the vampire lore...the intimacy between the vampire and victim...even non vampire movies try to capture it...

ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
ReplyDeleteI haven't fallen in the vampire trend going on and never read Dracula. I do think there is a new Dracula tv series coming out this fall. I've heard a little buzz about. May check it out and see if I like it.
ReplyDeleteOnly a fan of Dracula via the Castlevania series. He keeps coming back no matter how many times we kill him.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to read the original Braham Stoker's Dracula (did I spell his name even remotely right?).
ReplyDeleteYears ago I have seen a few different movies of Dracula, but am not really what you would call a fan.
ReplyDeletei went past bram stoker's house in dublin recently...i really should reread the book.
