I suppose they can be grey as well. But here is a big one that goes way back to ancient times too. One can see through hieroglyphs that alien like creatures were thought about even way back then. It is the bases of many science fiction works.
But in almost every case they come here to destroy. What other purpose would they really come for though? We can't make peace with ourselves. So I doubt they would bother otherwise. Do you think other life exists and do you think they will or have been here before?
Humans are kind of egotistical to think we are alone
ReplyDeletei am intrigued by it....and the evidence in our history shows they have been here, unless it is a generational hallucination...but i think they are there...and probably smart in not letting us see them all the time...
ReplyDeleteI've met quite a few aliens in human form.
ReplyDeleteYeah they have been here before and are out there somewhere. Probably fascinating for them to watch feeble humans
ReplyDeleteThe gave him cute little whiskers... I love the extra touch, it makes me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't made up my mind about that.
ReplyDeleteKnowing the projected size of the universe, life on other planets is not only possible but nearly impossible not to exist somewhere else. A far as advance aliens coming to earth, that's more a mystery that may be sci-fi than real.
ReplyDeleteIt would be rather ironic in the far-future we travel to another planet and we find ourselves the alien race to a primitive world.
Earth is just one of many in the solar system! Distance is a factor. Otherwise one might just bump into one of the green Martians down the street! Nicely HG!

That thing gives me the creeps!
ReplyDeleteOf course other life exists but we might not be able to perceive it, or to think of it in the same way we think of life on Earth. For instance, we might not be able to use any of the geometrical shapes we know in order to describe an alien spacecraft. Square? rectangular? Round? What if it's none of those? What if it's a shape we've never seen? Can we name it? No, but we will probably try to fit into a ready-made template we have lodged in our brain.
ReplyDeleteGood post.
Greetings from London.
Honestly, I think only God knows for sure. There are so many things we have no clue about and so many things we think we understand, only to later find out we were unbelievably wrong. Who knows the mind of God? I do know by faith there is a heaven, so other forms of life certainly exist.
ReplyDeleteIt would be arrogant to think we are the only planet with life. I am sure there is a lot more life out there somewhere. They are either way more advanced than we are, or really far behind.
