Tarascon chateau

Construction on the Tarascon chateau began in 1401 after the previous castle was destroyed. It was completed in 1449. It was then turned into a military prison during the 17th century until it was acquired  by the state in 1932.  It is said a mythical monster the Tarasque ravaged the town during the first century. Wouldn't want to meet that ugly fellow.

  2. I've always wanted to live with a moat with crocs and fierce eating things. I want a drawbridge across the moat so no one could get near me. Quirkey, huh?

  4. Funny how the same place prolly evoked so many different emotions depending on the context. I think it's gorgeous from the outside.

  5. I don't think I would ever tire looking at castles. Might be fun to own one if they weren't so much expense and work.
