Trakošćan castle can be found in Croatia dating back to at least the 13th century. I has changed hands many times and through out the years even been left unoccupied, even more times than it changed hands. The draft must not have been appreciated, but that is just my thought.
That is one cool castle
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how many castles stood empty for so long after the allure wore off. They're still awesome to go visit though. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is just a beautiful castle. I bet the draft in the winter could make even the warm blooded move out.
ReplyDeleteBut I wonder what it looks like on the inside?
ReplyDeleteIts so beautiful, great discovery!
ReplyDeleteI'll take it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous castle!
ReplyDeleteoh nice...amazingly large turrets.....very cool...i would love to go to europe and visit the castles
ReplyDeleteIt has clearly been maintained on the outside. Exploring it would be a hoot.
ReplyDeleteIt truly is majestic, taking it's reign high on the hill. It prob has wall hangings.
ReplyDeleteI love Croatia. I went there in, what, 1978? Wait. Does that mean I'm old?
